Generative AI is reshaping the way industries operate, from automating knowledge-intensive tasks to enabling new forms of human-machine collaboration on the field. Yet its deployment in industrial settings raises critical questions around reliability, explainability, and trust that remain largely open. This industry session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore how generative AI models, particularly large and small language models, can be applied to real-world industrial challenges. We are especially interested in contributions addressing industrial maintenance, where the gap between research advances and operational needs is both significant and actionable. Submissions should present practical applications, architectures, tools, or experience reports demonstrating the use of generative AI in industrial contexts. Contributions combining methodological innovation with real-world validation are particularly encouraged.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
Authors are invited to submit their original unpublished papers that demonstrate current research on one of the session topics of interest. Industry session papers should be prepared in PDF using the Springer LNCS/LNAI style (10-15 pages) and submitted via ISMIS 2026 Online Submission System. All submitted papers will be reviewed by ISMIS PC members.
Accepted papers will be published in the edited post-conference book published in the Springer Series Studies in Computational Intelligence.
All deadlines are at 11:59pm in the Anywhere on Earth timezone.
